Undergraduate Degrees at the Mitchell College of Business

All undergraduate students in the Mitchell College of Business will complete a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. 

Accounting**

A major in accounting will develop a student’s skills to record, classify and analyze financial information for organizations or individuals. Students will be prepared for careers in public, corporate, government and industrial accounting.

Economics and Finance

The economics and finance major is designed to develop the analytical techniques, critical thinking competency, and decision-making skills required for managing scarce resources in business and government. Students will be prepared for careers in banking, corporate finance, financial planning, investment management, risk management and insurance and public service. Concentrations are available in economics and finance.

Entrepreneurship

This degree program provides students with the business knowledge necessary to launch, develop and grow business ideas. They can then pursue careers as business owners, consultants and development managers. 

General Business**

The General Business major provides a comprehensive understanding of business principles across multiple disciplines. It offers students the flexibility to tailor their studies to diverse career interests or combine business studies with another field. 

International Business

This major focuses on business operations in a global context, emphasizing international markets, trade and cross-cultural management. Graduates are prepared for careers in multinational corporations, government agencies, and foreign countries.

Management

The management major helps students develop leadership and decision-making skills to manage organizations effectively. Concentrations are available in general management and human resource management.
